If you are working in an organisation that doesn’t have a remuneration policy then the onus is on you to initiate salary discussions.
You must be proactive about realising your value as the key decision-makers are not incentivised to raise the cost base of the organisation.
This is especially important if you’ve been told that salary discussions will happen but no clear details have been specified.
So if you are currently hoping for a pay rise, just consider when in the future management will initiate that discussion. Are you happy to keep waiting?
