In my experience, I’ve found that deadlines are immensely powerful for making progress, regardless of how arbitrary the deadline is.
And the power of a deadline is increased with accountability and motivation.
So having a simple deadline in place can be more significant than how you’re tracking your progress.
If you don’t have a deadline with the work you’re doing, it’s worth setting a deadline to help move things forward.
Remember Parkinson’s Law – work expands to fill the time allotted to complete it.
