Career success should come with a share of the created value.

Many hesitate to ask this because they fear pushback or feel an obligation to keep delivering.

But if you’re consistently outperforming without being compensated accordingly, then something needs to change.

There’s a way to have these conversations with management to reach a more equitable arrangement.

And if that doesn’t happen, then other companies will certainly be more open to discussing alternative arrangements for you.

Put simply, if you’re driving exceptional value, then you deserve a share of the upside.
