Many of these blogs I write while drifting off to sleep.
Seriously.
I go to bed with a topic in my head, and then I’ll allow my subconscious to do the work.
In the morning the blog will be fully formed.
It’s scary good, but lots of people have done the same.
Roger Bannister visualised breaking the 4 minute mile before he went to sleep.
Dmitri Mendeleev formed the periodic table while dozing.
Salvador Dali snoozed to inspire creative work.
It’s pretty cool what your subconscious is capable of, and anyone can unlock this superpower.
If you have a problem you’re grappling with and you’re pushing and pushing and pushing to solve it, let your subconscious mind have a crack at it while you nap.
Or even better…
Try training yourself to deliberately activate your subconscious mind with sleep. Like my blogs, keep giving yourself a problem or thought before you go to bed, and see what emerges.
