People don’t read information

Here’s something that will save you a lot of heartache. 

Don’t assume that people will read the information you give them (especially the key points).

You absolutely must give people all the information. 

But many won’t read it.

And fewer won’t read it fully.

And those that do won’t retain it.

I know it’s frustrating when people ask questions which you’ve clearly answered for them.

But once you embrace this universal law, your life will be so much better in these two ways:

  1. You’ll become a better communicator because you’ll proactively help people close their informational gaps and take the desired action.
  2. You’ll better manage your own state when you inevitably answer the same questions again.
