Paradoxical Proverbs

I loved watching Saturday morning cartoons as a kid (…and as an adult). American Dragon is one show that sticks in my memory, because Jake’s grandad spoke in proverbs and he would joke that, “For every proverb there is an equal and opposite proverb”.

I had to smile this week when I wrote the blog post What’s the easiest way, a few days after writing Do what is hard.

A lot of these posts are going to be specific in nature and paradoxical when compared. Much like life I guess 🙂

The best things in life are free / There’s no such thing as a free lunch

The pen is mightier than the sword / Actions speak louder than words

Absence makes the heart grow fonder / Out of sight, out of mind

Too many cooks spoil the broth / Two heads are better than one
