Meaningful change comes from having a clear strategy that’s thoughtfully applied.
But if you had to choose between one or the other, choose action every time.
Action provides a wonderful feedback loop, where simply doing something helps you work out the next thing.
Action also makes something happen.
If we focus too much on strategy, we feel like we’ve done something, but nothing has actually happened.
Sure, it’s better to spend the time working out which direction to point before moving, but action will typically overcome misdirection (and reduces the risk of strategic stagnation).
