All you can eat

You’ve all heard that it’s good to eat your veggies. But one benefit you may not have appreciated is their caloric density.

In a previous post, I gave examples of how much you needed to exercise to burn off a single muffin that has 300 calories.

Now here’s a list of vegetables with their quantities that are equivalent to a single muffin of 300 calories:

  • 10 carrots
  • 75 spears of asparagus
  • 3 medium sweet potatoes
  • 12 tomatoes
  • 2 heads of cauliflower
  • 10 cucumbers

This insight is super helpful if you’re wanting to lose weight. If you are sustaining a caloric deficit but are feeling hungry, keep adding vegetables to your diet. You can eat as many vegetables as you want.
