Do you find yourself complaining about your workload?
If so, here’s a useful thought exercise.
It’s easy to complain when you think someone else is at fault.
But it gets a lot harder to complain when you ask yourself:
Am I the one at fault?
How much did you agree to the extra work you’re doing?
Maybe you didn’t say yes directly.
But you didn’t say no.
You didn’t push back.
You didn’t set a boundary.
And to be clear, that’s the norm.
It often feels easier to agree than to challenge something.
Especially when you want to be seen as capable, helpful or easy to work with.
But here’s the thing.
Once you realise you agreed to the very thing you’re frustrated by… it hits different.
The complaints don’t feel as valid.
And that’s a good thing.
Because if you’re the problem, then that also means you’re the solution.
