When I purchased my first business, I commissioned a range of artists to design different logos as part of a brand refresh.
There was one logo that stood out to me which I preferred.
But before choosing that particular logo, I asked a handful of family and friends which designs they liked.
There was a resounding favourite amongst the sample size.
And it wasn’t mine.
In fact, no one else picked the one I did as their favourite.
It takes very little effort to gather a survey of opinions to challenge your own, and even a small sample size can help you make better decisions.
P.S. I went with the logo that was liked by the group, and I’m very glad I did.
