Be kind to yourself

I believe we’re better at being kinder to others than to ourselves.

If someone was talking negatively about themselves, or was disappointed because they wish they could have done more, or was stressing because things weren’t working out, we would lean in with kindness and consideration. We wouldn’t add fuel to the fire.

But when things aren’t going well for us, we find it easier being hard on ourselves than being gentle.

You’re doing your absolute best. Sometimes things won’t go the way you want. Try to give yourself as much kindness as you can.
