Over the course of our working lives, we will spend as much time (if not more) on professional endeavours as personal endeavours.
We will probably engage more with our co-workers and stakeholders than our friends and family (and maybe our partner).
And so we must recognise that our work connections and relationships are meaningful.
We must recognise that the combined sacrifice of an organisation is significant.
We must recognise that our professional lives really are personal.
Yes, it matters what you do with work.
But it matters more who you’re working together with.
