We all have finite capacity, which intuitively means we should apply ourselves to pursuits or tasks where our personal contribution has the greatest effect.
But how is this playing out in reality?
How many things are you doing without questioning why?
How many tasks are you reluctant to give to others because you feel your way is better?
Our ego is fickle. It can inflate around pursuits which don’t really matter, and deflate around pursuits that do.
We can be scared to feed our ego with pursuits that we’re uniquely suited to because they are challenging and we might fail.
We protect our ego by holding onto pursuits which many others can do and exaggerate our significance.
So, which pursuits should you really be prioritising above all else?
Where can you add the highest value?
Where should your ego lie?
