Cold showers

If you asked me what is the one thing you can do to turbocharge your life, it’s having cold showers. Really truly. 

They are unbelievably exhilarating. I can’t speak to the health benefits, which apparently are great too. I can only speak to how alive you feel when you have them. 

And when you get into the habit, you’ll strangely feel yourself craving them. But that’s the problem. 

Congratulations if you’ve kept reading up to this point. Many would be turned off immediately by the prospect of a cold shower and would have stopped reading after the title (especially if you’re reading this in winter). 

So what’s the point of promoting a cold shower if people aren’t going to take them?

Well there is a solution. 

Rather than having one cold shower, have a beautifully long warm shower, and then finish with a cold blast. Challenge yourself for a few days and see how you go. The biggest evidence I have for this is Bec – she doesn’t really like the cold at all, but is now finishing her warm showers with a cold blast and loving them.
