The environment within which you make a decision can have a considerable impact on your ability to take sustainable action.
For example, it can be easy to make a big decision when your environment is unstable, as you want to remove yourself from the environment quickly. But the instability may soon pass, and so too can your conviction to follow through on the decision.
You can also make big decisions when your environment is calm and stable. Unfortunately, this may not account for how your environment will change once action is taken. If action causes your environment to grow more unstable than expected, you may return to the comfort of the status quo.
