Our fears can hold us back from making change. Sometimes we fear failure, and sometimes we fear success.
But just like shadows on your wall at night, they become less scary when you turn on the light.
If you are fearing what a change may bring, fully explore your fears. What is the worst thing that could possibly happen? Really truly? And then what’s the likelihood that it would happen? Is it really realistic?
Keeping the fears in your head allows them to become larger than they would look like on the page. Try to list all your fears and let them see the light of day. Then consider if your fears are reasonable.
You may still feel these fears, but clearly defining them will help you move forward with more confidence.
