When you want to create something of value, there are two approaches you could consider.
One is to create a product or service first, and then find a group of people that are really passionate about it.
The other is to find a group of people first, and then create a product or service that they are really passionate about.
Either approach is viable, but be sure you are clear on the approach. If you confuse the two, you run the risk of creating something you think people will value but really don’t. Or you may create something of value for one group but then assume its value will extend to other groups.
