To showcase your worth for a pay rise, you must clearly address the following points:

  1. What is the value you’re bringing to the organisation? This could be from direct sales, cost savings, or business performance. 
  2. How much value are you likely to bring to the organisation in the future?
  3. What share of this value is appropriate for you to receive as remuneration?
  4. How much of this value would the organisation lose if you leave?
  5. How easy is it for the company to find someone else to do what you do?
