I’m a big fan of Phil Keoghan, the host of The Amazing Race! Early in his career, Phil hosted a show called No Opportunity Wasted.
The premise of the show was to encourage people to live their dreams. These are dreams that people have been holding onto their whole lives, so it must have taken something substantial to make it happen, right??
Nope. All the show did was give the contestants 72 hours, $3,000 and a film crew. That’s it.
It’s that incredible? All it takes to activate your lifelong dream is a few bucks, a deadline and permission from a stranger?
FWIW, my lifelong dream is to have a conversation with Phil, though unfortunately his speaking fee is a little higher than $3,000. So this means that with each initiative I commit to I consider how it may lead to this dream.
Either way, it’s a fun exercise to consider what’s possible – if you had some money, a deadline and permission, what would you do? 🙂
