According to my running tracker, I burn 700 calories when I go on an 8km run.
When I run before dinner, I would sometimes polish off a block of chocolate for dessert.
I tell myself I deserve it as my body has just burned a lot of calories.
But on some level I know it’s a lie because I don’t check the nutritional label.
Do you know how many calories are in a block of chocolate?
Nearly 1,000.
So when I tell myself I deserve this, am I saying I deserve finishing my runs in worse health than when I started?
What are you telling yourself you deserve, which actually isn’t serving you?
