I Get To…

Sometimes when we start a new habit (like exercise), we use language that fosters resistance. “I have to go to bed early”, or “I have to go to the gym”, or “I have to make a change”.

If you want to turn a Desired Behaviour into a Normal Behaviour, try saying “I get to” rather than “I have to”.

Your language is important, and this framing is a lot more powerful.

“I get to go to bed early”.

“I get to go to the gym”.

“I get to make a change”.
