Yesterday’s Opinion Dominion asked:
In light of Deloitte’s AI report to the Government, should AI-powered work be priced the same as HUMAN-powered work?
Yes – 18%
No – 82%
I voted No.
I think the price of any deliverable should match the value it creates, not just who (or what) created it.
This means AI-powered work could be more valuable than human-powered work, and vice versa.
There’s been a lot of debate about the role of AI and what it means for us.
A couple of cool perspectives were provided in the comments.
Someone noted that AI brings breadth and speed, but the human element makes sure it hits the mark.
Someone also noted the growing conversation around setting clearer expectations about how much of a deliverable was AI-assisted before it’s shared.
The more we use AI, the more we’ll need language and frameworks that keep the work (and the pricing) transparent.
So yeah, a lot to unpack here, but that’s where picking a side is a helpful starting place to build from.
How are you seeing this play out in your industry or company? I’m genuinely interested.
