Never underestimate the power that comes from consistently showing up.
It’s a common factor that I’ve observed with others who advance more quickly through organisations than may be expected.
Generally speaking, their skills and attributes were well-rounded, and no particular quality made them a standout in their field.
Except one.
They were present.
For every engagement that mattered, be it big or small.
They didn’t need to announce themselves, or make a statement, or turn up to tick a box.
They simply show up, fully, on their own initiative.
Sure, results will matter on some level.
But if you think you need to be a high performer to get ahead, try instead staying on the radar of the key decision-makers and see what happens.
