Label your feelings

We’ve all experienced inner turmoil, where we don’t quite know what we’re feeling but our insides are churning and our minds are racing. 

If we become overwhelmed by this feeling, it can be difficult to understand how to respond effectively. 

Whenever you have strong emotions but are unsure what they mean, it’s helpful to try to label them. What is it you’re actually feeling? Is it one guiding emotion? Or if you’re feeling many emotions, can you label them?

If you can answer this question, then it can provide clarity about our state, which may help guide the next steps to take.
