Lifespan of your degree

A university degree, like any study, is an investment.

You invest a certain amount of time and money to get the degree, and after you graduate you hope to earn a return that makes the investment worthwhile.

It’s very likely you will change careers at some stage in your life, so it’s vital to consider different lifespans of a degree when you’re deciding what to study.

You may think that you will use your degree for 20+ years.

But what if it were only 10 years?

Or 5 years?

Or 2?

This thought exercise will better prepare you for the commitment you’ll make with studying. How must you use a degree to make the investment worthwhile?
