So you’ve decided to make a change and you’re committing to action. That’s awesome! You’re pumped. You’re going to change the world!
But you’re worried. You know this moment is when your energy is at its highest, and you know that the longer you take to do something, the less chance something will happen.
So what’s a sure-fire way to take action after a commitment?
Lock in a time to meet someone.
It’s amazing what a little social accountability can do to spur you to action. As soon as you make a decision, identify the person who you MUST connect with to take the first step. Find someone who will help advance your mission, and lock in a meeting with them. As soon as you do, you’ve put the wheels in motion, and the onus is then on you to cancel it – are you really going to do that if this change is that important to you?
