There is a degree of luck in everything we do. This is especially the case with success, where luck plays more of a role than many people think.
Luck doesn’t receive the same strategic focus as other elements like skill and experience because many think it’s outside of our control.
Yet there are ways to improve your luck, and if you use them effectively you should improve your success.
First, expose yourself to situations where the likelihood of positive outcomes is high. For example, if you’re looking for a job, you’re likely to discover lots of job opportunities when you go to networking events.
Then when you’re in those situations, you should try to increase your odds as much as you can. The more conversations you have, the more likely you’ll make a valuable connection.
You may say these techniques are more discipline than luck. But as my Pop would say, “The harder I work, the luckier I get”.
