Marking the calendar

Scheduling a meeting with another person can involve a lot of back and forth to land on a time that works.

Sometimes we can propose a time that we think could work but the other person doesn’t respond (and vice versa).

The event then falls off our radar, only to later hear from the other person at the proposed time asking if we’re still good to chat.

To get around this issue, whenever I propose a time to someone I’ll also create an event in my calendar.

If the other person confirms, I then invite them to the scheduled event.

If they don’t confirm, the proposed meeting is still in my calendar, and this helps to remind me to follow up and ensure the meeting is not forgotten.
