Mid-week date nights

When you’re in a relationship, making time to spend with each other is really important.

Bec and I used to try to have a date night on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. However, we found that these days would usually conflict with social engagements. It didn’t take much for a few weekends to fly by without a date night together.

So we switched to Wednesday nights, and the impact has been incredible. Wednesday nights are fairly free socially and there’s rarely anything with work that’s so important it needs to be done. Plus it breaks up the week nicely and still allows for extra date nights on the weekend if desired.

Carving out Wednesday nights has been a sustainable solution for us. We’ve found it doesn’t matter what we do each week, just as long as we consistently come together.
