Rewarding great customer service

Customer service can be a thankless job at times, so it’s vital to recognise those that make an impact on our lives. 

When you experience great customer service, tell the person directly how much you value their service and also ask how you can share your feedback to most benefit them. 

Coupling these two points at the end of an exchange will make them feel appreciated and will make you accountable to take whatever action is prescribed. 

If the person says there is no formal means to share feedback that will reward them, then ask to speak with someone of authority to let them know of your great experience. This small gesture will positively influence the way they are perceived and create potential opportunities for them.
