Risk appetite

Our risk appetite can fade the more settled we become.

We grow averse to opportunities because the benefits aren’t appreciated or the costs are overweighted.

Yet the great irony is that this approach becomes the greatest risk of all.

It essentially means one path has been chosen to the exclusion of all others.

And even if this was a conscious decision, does this mean we shouldn’t consider what happens if this path doesn’t work out?

So when we have a very low appetite for risk, we could actually be taking more risk than we realise.
