Rocking consistency

I watched the movie Central Intelligence on a flight once. It’s a watchable movie, but there was one scene that I found particularly funny.

The movie stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart, and it’s a parody about their real-life personas. Both go to the same High School, but The Rock is not popular and a little overweight, while Kevin is the most popular kid at school. They then meet 20 years after High School, with The Rock playing his real-life form.

Here’s the scene.

Kevin: God man look at you! You’ve lost like 200 pounds! What’d you do?

The Rock: I just did one thing.

Kevin: I need to know.

The Rock: I worked out 6 hours a day, every day, for the last 20 years straight.

I found this quite funny as I’m sure this is how The Rock approached the last 20 years of his life. He’s essentially telling us the secret of his success.

As a joke, you could quickly dismiss it. Or you can consider that there’s every chance you can look like The Rock if you were willing to apply that process.

I’m not saying that having a body like The Rock is something to aspire to. I’m simply noting that if this was the way he achieved the results he did, then what area of your life can you apply the same consistency?
