Should AI be involved with JUDICIAL DECISIONS?

Here’s Yesterday’s Opinion Dominion:

Should AI be involved with JUDICIAL DECISIONS?
 12% said Yes
 88% said No

This was heavily one sided.

And I was in the minority.

So here’s where I’m coming from.

Every system has bias.

Every decision has context.

Because that’s what makes us human.

But the idea of using AI isn’t about replacing people with machines.

It’s about creating a more consistent and testable foundation for decisions.

Wouldn’t it be interesting to take a decision and run it from multiple different angles?

We already trust algorithms to guide us in high-stakes areas like medicine and aviation.

So I don’t think it’s unreasonable to explore how those tools might also help us navigate justice.

However, I’m guessing from this response that for anyone involved in a judicial decision, they want it to be grounded in genuine humanity.

It will be very interesting to see how this plays through.

Alrighty, final question from SXSW Sydney, and this one comes back to careers.
