The fix to overwhelm

With a 1 yo and 3 yo, I do a lot of cleaning. Like a LOT. 

Especially the kitchen.

There’s been many a time that I’ve looked at a messy kitchen and thought, geez, how am I going to clean all this?

(and often my second thought is, ahh this can wait til tomorrow). 

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, but I know there’s no benefit in putting it off. 

So all I do is pick just one item to start with. 

Then I’m off to the races. 

I shift from overwhelm to action. 

And before I know it, the kitchen is cleaned. 

Whenever you’re faced with a task which seems too big to start, there’s no benefit to overthinking it.

Just choose the one thing you can do, and things become a lot easier.
