Track your sleep

I’ve written before about how sleep is an investment in our lives, and that unfortunately we take a passive approach to this investment. 

To illustrate, do you know how much sleep you get per night?

You may think you have a good idea of your evening routine, but if you tracked your sleep cycle you’ll be surprised at how variable it is. 

For the next few nights, record the times you actually go to bed and when you get out of bed. 

And as a bonus metric, count how many times you hit the snooze button each morning (if that’s your vice).

Gaining this simple awareness will go a long way to being more deliberate with your sleep.
