Whenever I go to a restaurant, I tend to order from the list of Chef’s Specials rather than the menu.
This is despite the menu having 30 items and the Chef’s Special list only having 3.
I don’t know why this is, but I have a theory.
You NEED to receive the menu in order for the Chef’s Specials to seem… well… special.
Imagine walking into the restaurant and not getting a menu. The Chef’s Specials list would then become the menu, and you’d only get to choose from 3 options – which wouldn’t seem very special at all.
This concept is relevant to advance your career and business.
We are prone to listing all the services we can provide to others, believing that it is valuable for them to choose from such an impressive range.
But to really knock their socks off, you need an extra couple of items to complement this list which are tailored to their needs and presented in a special way.
