For the wizards reading this blog, you already know how powerful the Pensieve is. It’s a magical device that allows someone to literally take memories from their mind and place them in the Pensieve to review at their leisure.
For the muggles reading this blog, you probably don’t have a magical dish or wand at your disposal. But you do have paper and a pen. Or a computer with a keyboard 🙂
When your mind is in a haze and it feels like there’s a thousand things coming together at once, it can be a magical experience to take the time and space and dump all your thoughts onto a page. You can do so by category, or separate journal entries, or you can simply make a list that goes on and on.
The key is to get as much as you can onto a page. This will do two things:
- You will feel an immediate sense of relief when the final thought is extracted.
- You can assess all the thoughts before you. You will realise what’s taking up too much head space and what is being ignored. The path forward will become a lot clearer. And ultimately you can begin to transform your thoughts into action.
Lumos! 🙂
