Being seen as a flight risk

A lot of professionals in their 20s & 30s approach me for career coaching because they want to change jobs but are worried about being seen as a flight risk to future employers.

This is especially the case if they’ve changed jobs recently but want to change again.

There are 2 questions I usually ask them about this fear:

  1. Does this mean you should keep doing this job you don’t want for the sake of staying for “long enough”?
  2. Does this mean you would turn down better opportunities if they became available to you right now?

No one ever answers with yes.
