This can sometimes be missed, especially when evaluations are perceived as routine exercises. 

Performance evaluations are incredibly valuable opportunities for team members to give and receive feedback to produce better outcomes. 

When you can frame feedback around these outcomes, you will give team members the opportunity to reflect on their decisions and actions and how they can be refined more effectively.
