Make the intangible tangible

When you describe a problem generally, you’re unable to address the fundamental issue or achieve a desired solution.

Take “work/life balance” as an example.

Someone could tell you that they want more balance across their personal and professional lives, but you both wouldn’t know what you’re talking about (even though it feels like you do).

As soon as you make a problem tangible, you can do something about it.

I feel I’m taking too much work home with me and I want my evenings to be work-free after 6pm.

I am missing quality time with my family on weekends and I want to enjoy more experiences with them.

I’m not exercising enough. I want to start my day with a swim and not feel rushed in the morning.
